Scrap
Magazine No. 6 was published around June 1988, I think. It
was the last issue in the 8.5Ó x 11Ó folded & stapled format. I felt
that issue 5 was over-crowded, and went back to a more open look with
only one artist on a majority of the pages. I offered two different
covers, a standard cardstock, and a deluxe version with a hand-painted
sandpaper cover. While I included an envelope to store the deluxe
version, others threw it away, causing any touching publications to
become worn by the sandpaper.
Like
many of the other small press publications used around this time,
Scrap 6 included a few extra hand-pasted goodies like a post card,
a Plut¿nium Press sticker from a cool rubber stamp E.
Siefried made for me, and a small pamphlet from Peter Petrisko,
Jr. that shows the correlation between childrenÕs toys and Satan.
I also included a few of the ads I was sending out, as well as my
first computer ad made with an early Macintosh. What a scream!
I
scanned the originals, cleaned them up, and converted them into PDF
based eBooks. I also threw in a few extra's that were not originally
published, and some of the ads I was using @ the time. You can download
the Adobe Acrobat Reader or eBook reader to view the magazine.
